My First Hyrox

I still remember the moment I stepped into the arena. The noise. The energy. The focused faces all around me. And there I was… with my sneakers and my doubts.

I knew I wasn’t the most prepared. Not the fastest, not the strongest. But I showed up. And that was already a challenge in itself.

The race starts.

The first meters feel almost easy. Then, very quickly, everything shifts. The exercises stack up. My legs get heavier. My breathing tightens. Every movement demands more than I expected.

At one point, I genuinely asked myself: what am I doing here?

But instead of stopping, I slowed down. I caught my breath. And I told myself, quietly: just keep going… a little more.

So I did. Not perfectly. Not quickly. But I kept going. Each station became a battle. Every step, a small win. And somewhere along the way, something changed.

The pain was still there. The fatigue too. But the doubt… started to fade.

When I crossed the finish line, I wasn’t looking at the time. I was thinking about what I had just proven.

That you don’t need to be 100% ready to start.

That your mind can take you further than you think.

And most of all… that the hardest part is simply showing up.
