Athletic experience :

I’m delighted to welcome Mouna LOUKILI today, a passionate athlete who has been practicing sports (CrossFit) for nearly 10 years and started Hyrox a year ago. She shares her journey, her motivations, and what this discipline brings to her daily life.

Question 1: How did you discover your passion for sports?

Answer:

Honestly, it wasn’t always obvious for me. I actually discovered sports quite late, around the age of 30, thanks to a friend who had just opened a CrossFit gym. At first, I went just to try it out, without any real expectations… and I ended up loving it. I started going regularly, setting small goals, and gradually got hooked on pushing my limits.

Question 2: What motivated you to try Hyrox?

Answer:

It was also influenced by my circle. Some of my sporty friends were talking about it a lot, and it really caught my attention. I loved the concept right away: the mix of running and functional workouts is both intense and complete. I liked the idea of stepping out of my comfort zone while still having fun.

Question 4: What are your biggest challenges during a Hyrox competition?

Answer:

I’d say managing stress is the biggest one. Before and during the race, it’s important to stay focused. There’s also the preparation beforehand, which requires a lot of discipline. And during the competition, each station is a challenge, so you really have to stay present and not get overwhelmed.

Question 5: How do you see your future in sports?

Answer:

I definitely see myself continuing. I want to take part in more competitions, keep improving, but always with the idea of enjoying the process. And if I can inspire others to start especially those who think it’s “too late”that would mean a lot to me.

Conclusion:

Mouna reminds us that sport is not just about physical performance, but also a personal journey. Every challenge becomes an opportunity to grow and discover yourself.
